BEF's Operations

Since its inception in 2005 Black Earth Farming has gained control of 308,000 hectares, a large land bank about the size of Luxembourg. 250,000 hectares have been registered into full ownership and long term fallow has also been broken on over 250,000 hectares. A lot of internal resources have historically been devoted to acquire the current asset base and develop the land bank, supporting infrastructure and capacity to farm on these vast areas. The current focus is on increasing efficiency and profitability from the current production area by raising crop yields while finalizing the land registration process.
